Release when?

As I mentioned earlier, it’s time for a vote!

Some of you have pointed out that my half-chapters often end up containing more than 50% of the new content, sometimes even up to 70%. Understandably, that can make the full chapter release feel less impactful.

I completely understand that. Here’s where I am right now:
Chapter 12 is already more than halfway done, at least by the way I usually measure progress (lines of code and created images). But since this chapter has many branching paths, it is hard to pin down the true percentage, because not everything can be seen in a single playthrough.

Technically, it is already time for a half-chapter release, but I have been holding it back because I want to end it at a natural stopping point. That also means it is not really possible to cut exactly at 50%. Even a half-chapter should feel complete and flow naturally, so I always insist on ending at a moment that makes sense. Because of this, the upcoming half-chapter will probably contain more than 50% of the total content again.

But here is the big question: is that what we actually want?
I could also cut it earlier, before the halfway mark. There would still be NSFW content and the fight scene you saw in the teaser, so it would not be without highlights. But it would contain less material than you are used to from half-chapters.

Personally, I am fine either way. I do not mind releasing a half-chapter that is 40% or 60% of the final content. What matters most is what you prefer.
