Hello everyone, time for a quick status update!

Now that the playable teaser is complete, things have become a little easier on my end. Action and combat scenes are still tricky and time-consuming to create, but I truly believe the effort has been worth it.

That said, the start of Chapter 12 currently feels too much like a climax, which from a storytelling perspective isn’t ideal. I’m considering reworking the ending a bit so it lands with more impact. You all know how much I love my cliffhangers… the meaner they are, the happier I get.

Chapter 12 is entirely focused on the Ren/Clara storyline, but it also meaningfully ties together several other threads:

Gabriel/Nael (and a little bit of Jacky)

Zero (not sure, if the chapter becomes to big it will happen in 13.)

Emma

These plotlines are becoming increasingly intertwined, and Chapter 12 is the big kickoff for that convergence.

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about other arcs like Amy or Two/Christian. I’ve got a note stuck to my wall listing what happens, when it happens, and most importantly why it happens. So those threads are safe.

I’m honestly so excited about how it’s all coming together.

Over the next few days, I’ll be buried in work.

No for the first chapterhalf, I’m planning to run a poll soon for those who are affected.

The question will be: should the first half be shorter or longer if the exact halfway mark doesn’t feel right? I used to think “longer is always better,” but some people pointed out that when the first half is about 70% of the total length, the full release can feel less satisfying. Sure, 50% is mathematically perfect, but for me, the priority is that it feels balanced and well-rounded even for a chapterhalf. I’ll go into more detail in the poll in the coming days or weeks.
