About the rules confusion in the "death match" Tonpa was, they agreed to a death match so if one dies the other win BUT before that, the examiner said if an opponent admit defeat the other wins. Also for the sentence reduction it might seem weird at first, why would a prisonner want -72 years on a 199 sentence ? In my mind this makes sense the prisonners would get offers like that time to time, if in one hunter exam they manage to get a -72 and some years later they manage to get -72 again or something close that would explain it
