Pacts are a fundamental piece of the power system in JJK, just like Sukuna said, and they're dead serious. More will be explained as time goes on (there are several types of pacts) but breaking a pact, especially one forged with another person, is a big no-no. Pacts may also be referred to as "binding vows" depending on the particular subtitles or context.
