Now you should understand why Uri's death was inevitable. Kenny mentions that even with godlike powers that he possesses he's still vulnerable to mere "diseases" when in fact it was the curse of Ymir taking toll on him.

Enjoyed the reaction and your thoughts. I appreciate you picking up on just how difficult this is all for Eren and sympathizing with him as it can be easy to trivialize things from the viewer's perspective. As far as the Founding Titan, memories, paths, etc., all I can say is your mind is pondering in the right area even if it feels like it all doesn't quite piece together. Really looking forward to your reactions and analysis on season 4!! There will be A LOT to discuss!

Something I noticed on my first watch but I haven't seen almost any reactor catch is the moment at 19:10. Go back and look at who exactly is speaking there.

For one, its interesting they dropped a piece of lore saying that the Attack titan in every era fights for freedom which seems fitting! But oh wow! I never caught the line where Grisha is asking "why are you telling me all this, won't I lose my memories anyway?" (this happened immediately before the armin mikasa name drop) and Kruger says "Someone else may see the memory", which is hilarious because WE ARE seeing the memory, a memory grisha may not even have had. Which is wild!

Great video. Can't wait for you to watch the next season and see how this story progresses.

About the translation of 進撃の巨人 to Attack on Titan: An accurate and direct translation to English wouldn't make sense/be marketable due to alternate meanings/implications that would occur. Breaking down the original title, we get: 進撃 「しんげき」= Advance, charge It's used as both a noun and a する verb 巨人 「きょじん」= Giant, great man (Great as in old meaning of stature/presence, similar to how the meaning of terrific has changed) Noun の = Particle used for indicating possessive - Used as both ownership (my) and something that possesses the traits of something, etc. Highly versatile and often dependent on context. Furthermore, the kanji used in "Shingeki" have the following meanings: 進 しん Shin = Advance, proceed, progress 撃 げき Geki = Beat, attack, defeat, conquer So the direct translation would basically be "Advancing Giant", with possible variations being "The advancing giant", "The giant who charges", etc. Wikipedia has the literal translation listed as "The Attacking Giant", as Shingeki can also mean "invading and attacking", but the kanji used for that meaning is 侵撃, where 侵 translates to enroach, invade, raid, etc. Isayama purposely chose to write Shingeki as 進撃 so the emphasis/implication would be on that which moves forward, advancing towards something. Keep this meaning in mind for the upcoming season. As for the Titan translation, Isayama is a fan of symbolism and we've seen multiple scenes with Greek mythological symbolism. 1. Way back in S1E7 Mikasa has given up on living, she feels as if a part of her has died with Eren. There's a shot of an open pomegranate being bathed in sunlight, the seeds shining. She then gets up to fight, with renewed determination of never giving up and choosing to live. In Greek mythos, the pomegranate symbolises life and regeneration. 2. Also in S1E13 the incredible shot of Eren's titan carrying the massive boulder above his head is basically a direct reference to Atlas - a titan condemned to hold up the sky or heavens for eternity, with statues often depicting him holding a massive globe above him, or being almost crushed by it. It's one of my favourite uses of symbolism in the show - Eren is suddenly thrust into the position of not only having to lift the boulder, but to carry the weight of all humanity upon his shoulders in doing so. Sorry for the super long comment, but I hope this was helpful or enlightening in some way.
