Between Alliance and Enmity

Today, I want to delve deeper into the lore of the EZ'NOZ and the history they share with humanity, a saga marked by betrayal, conflict, and survival against the backdrop of a dying Earth.

Long ago, humans and the alien species known as EZ'NOZ stood side by side as allies. In the beginning, the relationship between humans and the EZ'NOZ flourished through trade and mutual curiosity. The EZ'NOZ, advanced in technology and culture, quickly learned the human language, facilitating deeper interactions. Initially, the exchanges were equitable and jovial, with humans receiving essential resources like raw materials, plants, and animals from the EZ'NOZ ruler at the time.

However, as Earth's environmental situation deteriorated, humans became desperate. They explained their plight to the EZ'NOZ ruler, hoping for a solution that could save their dying planet. Despite the friendly trade relations, the ruler was hesitant. The EZ'NOZ were technologically superior and didn't need much from humans, making the trade increasingly one-sided.

This burgeoning inequality sowed seeds of conflict. The tipping point came when humans discovered a particular plant on the EZ'NOZ's Homeworld, known as "Nazralc." This plant had the remarkable ability to produce oxygen much more efficiently than Earth's trees. Seeing potential salvation for their planet, humans requested, or rather demanded, to cultivate Nazralc on Earth.

The EZ'NOZ ruler, known for his aggressive demeanor, saw this as a strategic risk. Nazralc was vital to the ecological stability of Homeworld, playing an integral role in their own atmospheric processes. Despite the desperate pleas from humans, the ruler refused, fearing that sharing Nazralc could jeopardize his planet’s ecosystem.

Frustrated and increasingly greedy, some human factions attempted to covertly take Nazralc samples back to Earth. The ruler, feeling betrayed by the humans' reckless greed, saw this act as a violation of their trust and an existential threat to his people. In response, he abruptly ceased all diplomatic and trade relations, marking the start of a deep-seated hostility.

The conflict escalated when humans, unable to procure Nazralc legally, launched a clandestine operation to extract it by force. Caught off-guard by a sudden human onslaught, the EZ'NOZ faced widespread chaos and warfare. Many were captured or killed, sparking an ongoing, albeit indirect, war between the two races. This operation ended in disaster, leading to events shrouded in mystery and silence, including the death of the former EZ'NOZ ruler, who was the father of the current ruler, White.

The Ongoing Conflict

In this enduring state of war, any spacecraft departing from Earth is automatically targeted by the EZ'NOZ. Their intent is to destroy these vessels, regardless of the innocence or ignorance of the humans aboard regarding their ancestors' deeds. On Earth, the elite desperately try to keep the history and knowledge of the EZ'NOZ obscured, while simultaneously attempting to send more spacecraft equipped with advanced protection mechanisms into space. This desperate effort stems from Earth’s dire condition: the planet teeters on the brink of collapse, its resources depleted and its environment devastated, forcing humans to contemplate relocation or search for resarces to survive.

White, the uncompromising ruler of the EZ'NOZ, has imposed strict measures to prevent any human resettlement on their planets. Rather than opting for direct annihilation, he has chosen a slow, painful retribution. He desires for humans to endure a slow and agonizing decline on their dying planet, mirroring the suffering inflicted upon his people.

Earth's Environmental Collapse

Earth itself is a shadow of its former self, marked by extreme environmental degradation. The once-abundant flora and fauna are now nearly extinct, resources are critically scarce, and living conditions continue to deteriorate. This grim reality paints a stark picture of a planet in its twilight, barely clinging to life.

Rescue and Return

Despite the grim circumstances, there was a moment of victory for the EZ'NOZ: a major rescue operation led by White successfully freed all EZ'NOZ held captive on Earth. They were used as test subjects and for other exploitative purposes under a secretive facility known as CREW in Russia, connected to an international network of labs and test sites. After the rescue, those EZ'NOZ who had been on Earth for extended periods due to the rescue circumstances eventually returned to Homeworld. Today, no EZ'NOZ remains on Earth.
