Damn. I confess, the lack of action in Part 1 was disappointing to me, but this chapter more than makes up for it. It was superbly sexy, and probably a personal favorite of mine. Three perils—each heroine defeated so quickly, and in utterly humiliating fashion too. There’s nothing to complain about here for damsel-in-distress lovers. I especially like the parallels between each defeat: how each girl has their powers neutralized, before being manhandled, breaking free and trying to run for help, ultimately succumbing and getting slung over their respective opponents’ shoulders. This structure adds a sense of unity to the story and a sort of shared, feminine helplessness between each of the characters—while also giving each girl their own unique struggle. Donna has to be drugged into unconsciousness and tightly bound. Raven is beaten at her own game with magic and gagged to take away her powers. My favorite is definitely Starfire, however. Her only restraints are a single zip-tie around her wrists and ankles. That’s sufficient to render this superpowered alien princess totally helpless. I’m always a sucker for the DID trope of binding the heroine very minimally and then using physical strength to keep her subdued. Starfire, adorable, submissive, golden-retriever she is, being so easily overpowered by the weakest of the three crooks is perfection. Again, very good work. Looking forward to the next chapter!
