Clash at the Kobold Cauldron
Added 2020-06-14 16:01:01 +0000 UTC
Something's wrong with the people of Knotside. A few weeks ago, a popular new liquor called Red Claw showed up in the city's many taverns. Anyone that took even a sip of this spirit immediately wanted another taste. At first, these desires were nothing more than cravings. But soon, those cravings grew to obsession. Then obsession turned to violence. Now, the city of Knotside faces collapse as the red-eyed Red Claw addicts stalk the streets, desperate for more.
A Game-Ready 5e Adventure for Foundry Virtual Tabletop
I'm very excited to share the first of what I hope will be a series of game-ready adventures for Foundry Virtual Tabletop which provide beautifully crafted and immediately accessible game worlds for you to challenge your group of players as part of an ongoing campaign or as a standalone adventure.
This adventure is designed for a party of level 10 characters and will challenge the heroes to discover the mystery of this devilish Red Claw brew. For most parties it will provide between 6 and 12 hours of gameplay.
This adventure is exclusive for Patreon supporters until July 3 at which point it will be available for all Foundry VTT owners. Download and install the adventure by clicking the Install World button on in the Foundry VTT Setup and Configuration menu and providing the following manifest URL:

Adventure Contents
The initial creation of this adventure was a collaboration between DMDave, Cze & Peku, Paper Forge, It's A DnD Monster Now, and The Griffon's Saddlebag which you can find here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/clash-at-kobold-30366726. In addition to the original content, the Foundry Virtual Tabletop version of this adventure contains additional music by MusicD20, and painstakingly created scenes, actors, journal entries, roll tables, and way more created by Atropos from Foundry Virtual Tabletop.
In this adventure, you will find:
- 6 memorable scenes including 4 battle-maps by Cze and Peku
- 21 deadly adversaries and NPCs all with custom token artwork by Paper Forge
- 3 unique magical items from The Griffon's Saddlebag
- 25 Journal Entries written by DM Dave which guide you through running the adventure
- 3 musical scores by Musicd20 for each of the adventure's primary locations.

I have updated the Clash at the Kobold Cauldron world to be compatible with and optimized for the 0.7.5 version and the new lighting system.

2020-06-28 17:30:18 +0000 UTCRan this last night, the first part of it at least, and we had a lot of fun! Great job! Just wondering if it's worthwhile to report a few things, nothing gamebreaking just yet, but it seems the scene settings for both "art" scenes weren't set to global illumination, and so my players ended up in the dark when I switched them to the first one (fixed the second before they got there). As I said, nothing too bad, but might be worthwhile to fix for future users? Also wondering for when we get to there: the two monsters in the last room don't have any HP set aside from the default 10 HP, which I very much doubt is intended hahaha, any info to provide me on that? All in all very much enjoying this, thank you all!

2020-06-18 09:38:19 +0000 UTCNo plans for that at the moment - the complexity of this adventure and the desire for it to be game-ready wouldn't work well for a module. That being said I'm hoping/planning to add tools in the future that will allow modules to better vend inter-linked world content.

2020-06-17 18:46:34 +0000 UTCWill this adventure be released also as a module? A module is much easier to integrate in an active campaign.
