Patreon Sales Tax Changes - Starting July 1st

As you may have seen in the news or on other Patreon creator pages, a policy change is coming starting July 1st which will require Patreon to collect sales tax in some additional countries and US states. If you live in a location where the tax policy is changing you will receive an email from Patreon with more information at the beginning of next month (June 1st).
Patreon was previously collecting EU VAT, but sales tax collection is expanding to additional countries outside the EU and including US states where the law requires that digital goods be subject to sales tax.
I have configured my benefit tiers on Patreon to minimize the impact of this change, but for many of you this will change the amount you are charged starting in July. I would encourage all of you to consider the new Patreon tier structure and choose a tier at which you are comfortable supporting (if any)!
