Dear Patrons and supporters. I am beyond thrilled to share that, as of today, Foundry Virtual Tabletop is officially released!
This video provides an overview and introduction of Foundry VTT, showcasing many of it's features. As you are hopefully aware, the official release marks the end of beta testing. It has been a wonderful time and this past year is one I'll forever remember for your amazing support and the excitement of building this project with you all.
For those of you who supported the project thusfar, I sincerely hope you have seen the potential that Foundry Virtual Tabletop has and that you will choose to purchase a full software license. Remember that there is a Patreon discount available for anyone who has supported the project with a lifetime support level of $10 or more. I hope you will all take advantage of that discount, you all deserve it!
Purchasing a license for Foundry VTT entitles you to the Foundry Virtual Tabletop software and all its features. Only the server host needs to purchase a license, which by the license agreement can host one active session at any time. No additional software is needed to access foundry's features. My vision for Foundry Virtual Tabletop has been and will continue to be the creation of a self-hosted application where you are in full control of your hosting environment and your own data.
As part of the offical release, software version 0.6.0 is now available. The full update notes are posted here: https://foundryvtt.com/releases/0.6.0
If you are interested to learn more, please join me live on Twitch later today (Friday, May 22) at 1pm Pacific time and tomorrow (Saturday, May 23) also at 1pm Pacific time for developer Q&A discussing the release, reflection on the project, and charting out the road ahead. https://www.twitch.tv/foundryvtt
