Updates on the status of things, March 2023

New Download link will be posted sometime this week, it will have the latest pages of GBWA. The above link to DA contains a wide update on my art. I have posted the text below.

Good evening everyone! In this post I will establish my up-to-date plans on my art and its many formats. Call this a celebration of sorts as well, as I've recently hit 15,000 watchers on DeviantArt and that's a respectable amount of people that have taken interest in my work.

To start, GBWA is going strong and continues to be produced on-time, as it has for three whole years. My very first page of 'Growing Bigger With Ayyla' was released on March 9th and could certainly shows just how far I've come.

Of the many things I am announcing today, a change to captions is one of them. Compare the above first image of the series to a re-rendered, newly captioned one to see the difference.

While I am proud of my progress and enjoy the initial images as a time capsule from when I just started making the series, I enjoy consistency and quality especially when I have an opportunity to right what is wrong. From lighting to reflections to static in the image, I steadily improved as I went along and that goes for captions as well. You can see in the above that the header now identifies the perspective of the journal in a clean format. In remaking this caption I also will be making minor adjustments to the caption itself, usually adding a few details to flesh out shorter captions or fixing spelling mistakes. To this day, I have been forward thinking enough to never have to make retcons. A person who reads only the old text won't remember scenes wrong, though I encourage fans of the series to take a chance to re-read the series when I have fixed up the captions. But where? Where can you find these freshened-up pages and captions? Glad you asked!

Announcement number two; I am making a Gumroad! For those of you who do not know, Gumroad is a website where artists can sell content. Patreon has provided a download folder for my entire series until now but I will be uploading year-by-year comics so that fans of the series can purchase a digital copy of both Journal pages and alternates for a particular year, bundles offered as well of course. The prices will be staggered, the early years of 2020 through 2024 only contained 60 pages each but the years 2025 to present contain 180. This also isn't counting that Patreon has been getting 5 to 10 images of alternate angles when previously I would only occasionally do one or two. As for the timing...

Growing Bigger With Ayyla (2020) will go on Gumroad next weekend alongside another event: A Requests Stream! On March 11th at 1pm, I will take two hours to gather community requests for poses, camera angles, comparisons and pinups of my cast. The two hours is one limit, first come first serve the other. If I finish the first pass of requests I'm committed to taking seconds from anyone interested, my own judgement will be used in case something is conflicting or not ideal. This stream and more details will get a post sometime this week.

Announcement four is tied to the newly refurbished pages; I'm pursuing a website! A website purely for GBWA, where the daily page is posted and the readability is key. I want this to become the archive for the series and anyone interested in thumbing back through the series should be able to quickly find and open a particular page. I do not have a date for the publication of this yet but it will be rather noticeable on DeviantArt, as less effort will be put into the description for previous/next images and interaction. I am very glad that the discord I opened has become a community hub for conversation about the series, it is free and will remain so: https://discord.gg/AT6jDSzW

I hope you're not tired yet. I'm out of announcements but I've got updates on my other two works. Those of you who have been reading and enjoying Sydney should be pleased to know that I had initially intended the story to be illustrated. It sat unpublished for the most part for several years, busy times with GBWA and IRL work getting in the way. Pictured above is a recent render of Sydney in her budding moments... a sentient AI floating among files. This story is proceeding, my vision of it putting it at more than 60% complete, as writing comes to me much...MUCH easier than rendering. More on that later. You can expect the next three chapters to come out tomorrow, Monday latest. An illustrated version of this story will be short, perhaps even textless, a total of 20 or so images encompassing the (planned) 50 chapters. A version of this will go on the Gumroad I establish, though I will consider formal digital book publishing as well. I'm very proud of this story, it's been amazing following Alan and Sydney.

As for Trio Trouble... Do not despair.

I as much as anyone know that comics released in a haphazard, slow fashion can lead to disinterest and lack of engagement. I'm proud of the story, I will finish it. It has been my goal with my work to be on-time and consistent, to which I think I have succeeded many times over in the production of the free, posted-daily flagship comic I put out. Side projects like Trio Trouble however... Posing and rendering two series at once is difficult. I put my creative weight into GBWA and with the inclusion of Hayley and her side of things, I basically am releasing a mini-comic four times a month. Trio Trouble doesn't fit into that schedule, so it gets created during vacations and off-periods. Sydney's story is purely writing at this time, something I find takes far less time and is a pleasure to make rather than posing in DAZ3d Studio which can be fun when the scenes are simple but hellish when you have a lot going on. Trio Trouble fundamentally focused on several layers of clothing with each gal, a quality I wish to see in more comics. That said, it is a labor-intensive task on top of the quality I already put into GBWA. Can't state that enough. Continue to be patient, I will resume TT when I know I can carry it until the end, no more false resumptions.

We're at the end of this update now. I'm thankful for all the people that enjoy my art. It's a satisfying thing flipping back through my pages to see how far some of my characters have come as well as how I have progressed in quality. I hope to continue making art that excites me and makes me smile, be it in the form of comics, stories and literature.
