This is probably not the announcement you were hoping to read today, and it is certainly not one that we ever hoped we would have to write. After much deliberation, we have decided to put development of Magical Camp on an indefinite hold.
Despite its humble beginnings, Magical Camp became a passion project for all of us on the team. Each of us are volunteers who came onboard sharing a hope that we could help make this game the best version of itself it could be, and the payoff for all of this came in the form of the community that materialized around it. For the last half decade, it became perfectly normal for us to talk with total strangers, people from all across the globe, each of whom were eager to discuss this weird, messy, delightful project that we were working on. Real friendships were formed, ideas were shared, and each of us on the team can now look back on the experience knowing that we are better for it.
Unfortunately, we have hit a point where continuing is just not an option. Between the limitations of the RPGMaker engine, health issues, and the sheer difficulty of committing to a single project for such a long period of time, the team has hit a point where we need to stop and walk away, perhaps forever. It hurts to admit this, but the burnout simply cannot be ignored any longer.
At this point, we intend to release all unreleased art assets to the public, as well as to refund the last month of donations where possible. As for the Discord server, it will remain open, but most Magical Camp-related channels will be Archived. Additionally, Little Bitch Academia will also remain in development under Edea, making it seem kinda rude for us to just shut the lights off.
We can make no promises regarding what comes next except to say that most of the team will be taking a much-needed break from game development. Afterwards, perhaps we will meet again on a new project. In any case, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the love, support, suggestions, artwork, and community you’ve provided for the life of the Magical Camp project.

It's a bit of a gut punch to see this project end, I cannot understate just how much of an influence this game was in my life and what an absolute inspiration it was to my work. Take heart in the knowledge that you made, what I and others may consider, a genre-redefining game that shall be remembered fondly by many for years to come. All the best and thank you to all of the team for your efforts up until this point. I sincerely hope you all find your muse again and return refreshed in the future.
