Think of this as a blind watch as I really remember miniscule things regarding this, and as I try to remember, I think I may have only read the first book.

i only watched the movies and i enjoyed them. plot wise its pretty much the same apart from these small new add-ons. It's fun seeing what characters they r playing compared to the movies.
