2022-02-23 08:42:04 +0000 UTCIt's possible. I was working while I was listening, so I may have missed it. I saw Akira in the mid-90s, too. Did you see a French dub of it, or were you also subjected to the English dub from Streamline?

2022-02-23 00:42:50 +0000 UTCI (Aaz) think I did mention Blade Runner, didn't I? But either way, agree on all three! Akira I think wasn't mentioned because it's an animated film, plus in my case I saw it in the mid-90s.

2022-02-23 00:08:36 +0000 UTCLoved this one. I agree with both your lists, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t add three more of my favorite 80s movies: Escape from New York, Blade Runner and Akira. Hugely influential on me growing up, and I imagine the same goes for you guys.
