yea we acc need more help remember what all mountain ash, wolfsbane, and mistletoe do bc its a lil hard to remember since it shows up infrequently but if the humans had been effected too no one would have made it out besides prob Lydia so maybe thats why they did it that way. And STILES WAS THE MVP this ep fr!!! saving people left and right. Also we are surprised people dont talk more about how weird it is for Derek to be smashing two seconds after a near death experience it would be one thing if he was a long term committed relationship in which case maybe ok he just wants to make sure he feels alive etc w the love of his life but this is a RANDOM woman he just met lol side eye asf on her for not getting him actual help

This is one of the episodes of 3A that I really like, because it does what Teen Wolf is actually really good at: suspense and low-level horror. They're really good at making shit scary when it needs to be. And I liked learning a little more about the wolves, even if it wasn't much. The only thing I don't like about this episode is the Jennifer & Derek sex stuff. Man is incredibly wounded and vulnerable (what else is new lmao) and THAT a scene that needs to happen?? No thanks. I skip over it every time. But I did unmute it once they were offscreen to catch what y'all had to say, because the facial expressions were Talking, and I LOVE that you called it out for being a trauma response and being unhealthy. I've never seen anyone off tumblr note that shit. To be honest I don't think Derek knows what a healthy relationship looks like, and he definitely doesn't know what a healthy sexual relationship looks like. I think at least a part of it is that, at his core, Derek is like a kid who just wants to be wanted by somebody. Anybody. Everyone around him either dies or chooses to leave him so it's not ideal but if someone will stay for sex then at least they're staying?? Dude has so much trauma there is a lot that drives his choices and none of it is good The way that Stiles doesn't even like Ethan or Aiden but when he sees that Ethan is about to cut himself open with a running handsaw he doesn't even HESITATE - he just rushes to him, grabs the handsaw, and fights him for it. While its still running!! What kinda hero shit!!?! He did not get the recognition he deserved for that moment The only thing that makes me think Boyd's sister was taken over drowning is because in the voices he heard from the radio it was pointed out that there were a lot of people there. If a kid had fallen through ice would've gotten someone's attention, but a kid can be taken quietly from a crowded place if no one is watching that specific kid. So if Boyd had his back turned only long enough to get off the ice, that could've been long enough. Whichever way he lost her though its tragic as hell Stiles second hero moment of the episode: stepping into the gasoline with Scott and grabbing the road-flare, something that could've easily gone horribly wrong but he did it anyway. Because he's Stiles. I think the only reason Isaac didn't do something suicidal is because they got to him with a road-flare in time. Boyd was already in the water when they found him, but Isaac was still hiding under the bed. Maybe he just didn't have the time to do anything before Stiles showed up, or maybe in his hallucinations he was too scared to try something - since he clearly was hearing his dad there. I'm a little surprised the humans didn't also hallucinate, considering they did in the party episode, but maybe it takes a higher amount of wolfsbane for a human?? Or maybe it has to do with hand-wavy Darach powers. (or maybe Jeff Davis forgot that wolfsbane does in fact affect people too. who knows what that dude actually remembers lmao) S3E5 and y'all continue to have the most correct takes on everything. Amazing. Iconic. Legendary.

agreed!!! that scene is easily a tear jerker for sure! just scary bc we haven't seen Scott in those kinds of feelings before so it makes us wonder how much is his actual thoughts vs the motel making him think that way

That ending scene when Stiles saves Scott is one of my favorite scenes in this whole show and so heartbreaking. It just tells you how much Scott means to Stiles and how far he is willing to go to save his best friend. He is such a Loyal Friend.
