Drop to 720p?

So I am starting the rewrite and everything, just wondering if I should drop the image size down to 720. I didn't think full hd renders would explode in size so much honestly. Should be a significant difference in size, but won't be seeing it for a few updates probably.

Other devs are making the size smaller because of less rendering time and more content, that is I believe worth the smaller resolution.

2020-01-09 08:11:47 +0000 UTCOne thing to bear in mind: When converting to WebP, use the original PNG (or TIFF, or whatever intermediate lossless format you use). Much like JPEG, WebP is lossy and like JPEG, it introduces image artifacts. A JPEG converted to WebP will have JPEG artifacts, WebP artifacts and interference from them together, while it will yield the same space savings as converting from the original to WebP, or might yield even more since WebP treats JPEG artifacts as image data to try to compress.
