Eri definitely has a point. Everyone has had amazing luck to this point in terms of staying alive - Aya and Chihaya in particular - but things will eventually catch up one day if they aren't more careful. I've enjoyed Eri as a character thus far because of her maturity and discipline as well as her skill.

As deep sea freediving is very dangerous and need to be taken with more respect for the dangerous of the ocean. So Eri would have done a bad job as their safety manager. If she would have just turned a blind eye to this behavior. So in other words just because they learn some more discipline and learn to respect the dangers of drowning. Doesn’t mean that it will stop their growth the opposite in fact. As they then could survive for longer overall and keep getting better as they get older and more mature

2022-12-01 07:42:13 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Eri, if anyone were to find an “Underwater Kingdom” and be able to explore it, it’d be these three. How many times, in the brief window you’ve known them, have they survived underwater when basically no one else would? In a way, you’re almost interfering with the growth of their talents, all in an effort to keep them safe. You can’t act like much of a mentor if you’re not willing to prove your own skills, which are significant. Very few (real life) divers would be able to meet them as deep as you did, even with fins, and surface successfully. I want to see a fully fleshed out freediving match between Eri and the girls (not the four or five panels we got earlier in the series, even if that was a great appetizer). And I’m one stand-in for Ken who has no problem admitting I love the look of your “swimsuit body”.
