But Savaster I think that Stockholm syndrome is the wrong word for it. As it describe how a victim falls in love with her kidnapper. Because of the kidnapper isolate the victim. Which is nothing like the situation between Chihaya and Ken.

However, pls note that the culture is fairly consistent in the East and neither Ken nor Eri would consider a romantic relationship to be appropriate here. And we don't really know if Chihaya's feelings are genuine...alternatively, she's in a phase like the Stockholm syndrome? :-)

2022-07-20 20:32:12 +0000 UTCGreat, so I'm the jerk for saying I feel deeply uncomfortable with the idea of a 17-year-old girl falling in love with a 21-year-old blank slate, and for said adult to return their affections despite moral and legal sensibilities. Fine, fine, I see how it is. I'm not trying to be critical of Saver - I like the artwork, and tbh I don't care about realism. It's a story, I get it. But if this is the response I'm getting to me saying "I don't like this one thing" then I guess I should just keep my mouth shut.

Also we don’t know how the story will continue with the relationship development. And we should leave Savaster alone as it’s his story to tell, and not judge him for whatever he is writing.

Says a lot about him that he's not willing to risk a potentially fatal injury when someone is dying, but whatever. As for what's wrong with the kiss...well, it's something that's bothered me about this series for a while. Namely, the whole subplot about Aya and Chihaya's feelings for Ken, which just feels extremely gross and inappropriate. Ken is an adult. The girls are teenagers. Yes, I understand that there's "only" a four year age gap between Ken and Chihaya (according to the cast info), but for someone as young as Chihaya, that's STILL a huge gap. Maybe I'm looking at it through a Western lens, but Ken should not be returning the affections of these underage girls who are coming onto him. Especially if he's serving as their teacher (which brings a power imbalance into the mix and makes things weirder) and especially in this story. It feels inappropriate, and detracts from the main focus of the series - these girls and their diving adventures. Not to mention that...I really don't care for Ken? He's basically a vanilla dating Sim protagonist with no depth or interesting traits. If I was feeling uncharitable, I'd even go so far as to call him an audience insert, someone we're meant to use as an extension of ourselves. In that respect, the romance between him and Chihaya feels even MORE uncomfortable - and that opens up cans of worms I'd rather stay shut. So yeah. Sorry for the lengthy reply, but I don't think the Ken romance has a place here. I get wanting to expand the world and the story, but I could have lived without one of the new themes being a student-teacher romance.

So to avoid decompression sickness Ken need to either do a safety stop for up to an minute in the halfway point towards the surface. And he should not ascent faster then 9m/s either. And if Chihaya did inhale some of that compressed air then she needs to decompress as well. However if she didn't and her lungs is still just water then she should not suffer from decompression sickness, (at least regarding from what her lungs would caused).
