took a little dive because i was wondering too, it is a royalty-free track that is indeed called new year and it's by an artist named bad snacks, but interestingly it's also the same song as a track called divagations by an artist named heussni. no idea if these are the same person or if there are slight differences that makes one copyright free but not the other or what, but both songs were released a year apart so who knows? kinda interesting little rabbit hole, no idea how royalty free music works in this context.

Grtdhx is my new favorite character on this sitcom

One of my favorite players is actually an AGPTEK (AGPTEK take existing chinese players and modify/rebrand them, that's why you see them a lot). If you can find one, do a video on the AGPTEK Rocker (aka the Benjie T6). Despite not having the best battery life, it's a decent and affordable hi-res player. Definitely not a nugget.

Hey, those video tools on one of those players might be your answer to converting videos for the nuggets. It'll just have to be converted on the eeeeeeepc and take a few hours per encode :v

If the AGPTEK and the lkdahbcsvyc nuggets are just rebranded clones of each other, it might be possible to transplant the screen from the dead boi to the working one with a cooked screen (provided they're not soldered to the main board, which they probably are tbh).

I saw that pink Creative player lurking in the bag - I had a silver version of that device as my first mp3 player before getting an iPod Nano 3G after I broke the Creative player. Hope that comes out of the Lucky Dip at some point!

One part of my job is malware analysis. Those random letter jumble music players come with malware installed. It is always a different file, but in your case, it was probably the Video_Tools...rar file. You can still pick them up on Amazon. Whoever owned it before you likely had their antivirus quarantine the initializer bit, which is why your Eeepc's Avira didn't pop up a warning.
