You want real windows 98 days, you only put the tip of the cursor at the edge of the loading bar because you’re expecting it to move pixel by pixel instead of inch by inch.

Have you tried to unmount the m.2 partitions before erasing it? edit: and I think quit itunes before that. If partitioned successfully then replug and lunch the toons. It’s basically AppleVoodoo™ at this point.

get a m.2 to usb adapter, theyre under 20 usually. makes the m.2 an external drive

RIP. Something I noticed was that you weren't holding the right buttons for "Disk Mode". Afaik it's Select+Play/Pause to enter Disk Mode.

To troubleshoot I'd probably use a known good mechanical iPod hard drive which is formatted and ready to go with music. (Don't know if Apple did anything to tie them to serial numbers or anything for DRM though.) And also I'm wondering if the ShrekPod logic board is messed up from being exposed? Maybe something is shorting out or bits are getting flipped? Maybe try wiping it clean with isopropyl alcohol?

Question: did you try using just an already formatted and setup mechanic ipod drive to see if its the ipod itself, or if it's just struggling with the flash storage specifically

Dank, try swapping out the flex cable connecting the drive to the board. I’ve had the same issue on a brand new iFlash board before, and the flex cables don’t like to be plugged and unplugged too many times. Also helps to plug the flex into the flash board first (push it in hard) and then plug it into the board. I hope the boy survives.

So is the new Ipod touch gonna be the shrek 2 pod? Hope you can revive the original still.
