This made me think about how Mick Gordan hid images in the soundtrack for Doom (2016). I think that needs a spectrograph (spectrogram? Idk) to see it though.

Techmoan is the best, I always watch his new video on saturday mornings.

Still excited to see that vid when it finally comes around! Here's hoping our contributions help speed it along.

I still have a old oscilloscope lying around it’s an dual trace oscilloscope hm 412-5 with a 4.7“ crt. In my country this model or similar ones go for around 200€
2021-07-21 02:57:06 +0000 UTC
dude awesome! cant wait for the big vid!
2021-03-03 19:42:51 +0000 UTC
Interesting how the experience can change just by the way you absorb information. Like, hearing the oscilloscope music before seen it on the oscilloscope I was like, "Eww, this stinks," but after seeing it on the oscilloscope I was like, "Wow! This is cool!" and it's the exact same information.

power just went out while this thing was going off and it was hilarious lol

Just letting you know that YouTube compresses the sound in those videos, losing some of the quality/higher frequencies that the music would normally have if played on a lossless format. Those frequencies make the picture look clearer.
Really cool vid BTW!
2021-01-16 21:11:51 +0000 UTC
Haven’t watched this video. Don’t know what it is. I hope it makes a weebly wobbly sound cause it looks like it should.

i suddenly want one of these
2021-01-01 16:28:34 +0000 UTC
That's very cool actually alltough I'm not into that kind of music the fact, that it makes like a film on this oscilloscope is very cool.
2020-12-30 20:44:04 +0000 UTC
I’d love to see one of the Craigs outputting to this thing
2020-12-25 02:58:15 +0000 UTC
Oh man! This is so cool! I've never done/seen anything with an oscilloscope, so this was super cool to watch!
2020-11-27 23:29:00 +0000 UTC
Hey when are you gonna do the video because I’m really curious now. I have a modded iPod 5th gen 128gb with the 3000mah batter and I wanna know which is the best
2020-11-25 03:34:39 +0000 UTC
I would love to see a full lineup of the ipods.
2020-10-29 10:57:38 +0000 UTC
Damn nice, you could try to change the focus of the beam so it is just about visible then there normally are the x and y knobs so you can set the point exactly at the middle. That should make it way better if possible. Still it got the sads big time
2020-09-18 07:23:23 +0000 UTC
No surprise you watch TechMoan. He's awesome!

The oscilloscope should have a trace rotation control (often a trim pot) - sometimes on the back which would fix the rotation. No idea what this CRO is - no branding etc.
2020-09-13 06:38:16 +0000 UTC
dank watches techmoan!! when worlds collide

2020-05-28 15:29:33 +0000 UTC

2020-05-15 04:49:07 +0000 UTC
Looks even better in person too, the refresh rate is nuts
2020-05-10 12:49:22 +0000 UTC
Oh don't worry im planning a vid that will have all that info. I've changed the titles of some tracks so I know what they are for editing reasons and I have to go and find the names again myself

2020-05-09 22:30:40 +0000 UTC
I use a o scope from time to time to make sure there isn't clipping, but that's in a car audio environment.
2020-05-09 20:36:23 +0000 UTC
Oh man, WHAT I WOULDN’T GIVE to know what royalty free music he uses in his videos!
2020-05-09 18:41:36 +0000 UTC
Dank, leave Frank alone, he may suffer from depression and that's why he won't go and find a job!
2020-05-09 13:16:54 +0000 UTC
It would be interesting to see how ‘loud’ some normal headphones would be on the Colorfly 🤔

I tried that service, but it was only streaming stuff on my phone at 48 kHz/24 bit. I also tried this Japanese service called mora qualitas, which streams at the correct 96 kHz/24 bit, but because of Sony Music Entertainment Japan closing an early loophole allowing foreigners to sign up, my account was closed today.

I thought I should mention for the flac player, amazon music now streams in 24 bit flac. It’s the HD version and for somebody who doesn’t have the time to transfer flac files and prefers streaming services. Having that ability to stream amazing sounding music just blows me away. Yeah it’s a data vacuum, but god it sounds so much better.

Have you seen Chris Allen's oscilloscope music?
2020-05-08 15:10:51 +0000 UTC
cool
2020-05-08 13:39:58 +0000 UTC
Hey, not sure if you know this but ill mention it here, holding option + shift whilst adjusting the volume on MacOS allows the individual volume bars to be divided into quarters, it isn't ideal but it could help your monitoring woes!
2020-05-08 12:12:35 +0000 UTC
This oscilloscope display is way better than the Colorfly C4's screen

Awesome room! I would really love it if you would ever be able to do a collab in some way with Techmoan :D. Hopefully sometime in the future!
2020-05-08 11:13:28 +0000 UTC
So cool, yeah oscilloscopes are fun toys! I am in awe though with your curved screen... I WANT ONE haha!
