New Patreon Members (Tangerine Sour order info)
Added 2021-09-26 19:48:34 +0000 UTCWelcome new Patreon Members, and there are a lot of you. I know you joined here to get your hands on the Tangerine Sours first. Well congratulations, you are achieving that, just not today, buy you will have access to them before anyone else.
My goal here is to convince you to stay a Patreon support, like all of these other folks have. This gives me the freedom to take risks with projects and videos like this series.
You want to know when you can get the candy. Well that's easy.
I think that on Tuesday I can again open up orders so that Patreon members can be at the front of the pack to get these.
We have to look at how shipping is going on Monday to make that decision. If not it will open a week from Tuesday. So while it could happen this Tuesday, if it does not it WILL happen a week from Tuesday (October 5th I think). Don't forget to use the Unicorn Dropping coupon code (see the previous post.) and check our our Trick and our Treat Halloween candy.
Of course you will get first dibs on these before anyone else. Like last time if we can, we will open orders first to you, and then later to Podcast Listeners if any are left.
It won't be clear to me how many tins were packed this weekend until late tomorrow (Monday)
So this Tuesday, or a week from this Tuesday. In any event watch your e-mails for a Patreon update about when this is happening.
We are trying to produce 1000 tins since last Tuesday, and ... fingers crossed, we should be close either Tuesday or by the end of the week.
All orders from the first order day have been shipped.

When I make videos about other candy makers, I really get no sales benefits off those, but I love them and I love being able to preserve this history. I usually can do one or two a year. In this case, I have not traveled for two years, so I used it for this project, the investment in things like Tins, and printing is huge. You all let me take this risk, so you should get the literal fruits of my labors first. As you can imagine, now that you are here, I want you all to stay. I have so many videos I'd love to film, doing things like tracking how the slave trade created the candy industry. How being in the right place at the right time created other sweets and how a bizarre cult made a candy bar. I want to figure out this history of Block Candy in Atlanta, and follow a man who was incarcerated for a crime he did not commit, who spent 26 years in solitary, and who learned to make pralines while incarcerated. When he was finally freed, he used that skill to recover. So many great stories to tell, and I can tell them over time with your help. Thank you.
