First of all an amazing show, I think I'll talk about it on Tuesdays podcast. Underground Atlanta where it was is a covered area with restored store fronts that were abandoned in the 1940's. These are now used for some stores, and for exhibit space. The gallery the Bansky exhibit was in, had a bunch of these store fronts that they used for show space. First of all an amazing venue. But they had markers that showed what were in this space (They doubled as benches) Block candy apparently was in this storefront until 1936. (they moved into this building in 1928, so they've been other places and who knows, might have been a going concern after 1936.)
I thought it was amazing to see a bit of candy history overlooking a classic Bansky image (look through the window.)
