Picking out a Grand Piano!
Added 2018-05-16 06:06:39 +0000 UTCI'm seriously considering buying a brand new Shigeru Kawai SK7. It's Japan's top piano brand, and it is also made by hand with much precision. This particular model is normally 90,000-100,000 USD, but there is a place willing to sell it to me at a discount. It's well out of my budget, but this thing sounds and feelings absolutely fabulous. I swear it was like as if I was playing a concert grand. It is 7'6' after all. I'm still viewing the Steinway store on Saturday to be sure, but I'm afraid the Steinway Model B will be a little over 100k new. To me, the new Shigeru felt like a 100k piano, and it was on another level than a used Steinway Model B priced around 40k-45k. To me there is more value in the Shigeru. What are your thoughts?
