Krakatoa

In The Life and times of Scrooge McDuck a great book that you need to read if you haven't, Scrooge McDuck had an adventure at Krakatoa. if you don't know the island blew up in a volcanic eruption in the late eighteen hundreds. I did not know that further eruptions created a new island on that location called Anak Krakatoa, which means child of Krakatoa.
This island in turn had an eruption which caused the tsunami earlier this year. The studies they've been doing on this is fairly amazing as they have a young volcano to study.
