Art Tip: Drawing the Torso from Different Angles

Hi everyone.

Here's a new art tip. Someone asked for some advice on how to draw the torso from various angles. I always think of the basic structure. If you don't know how to draw something, one of the base ways to learn is to simplify the shape and add the details over it. Practicing the basic shape at different angles is easier than the more complex object, or body in this case.

Any art questions or tip request: Just let me know.

Thanks!

Sorry just saw this. Feel free to DM me questions, so I don't miss them. No, they added a default liquify brush to CSP sometime ago. It's tabbed under the blend tools.

The CSP liquify brush from JFranDraws?

My Layers are base colors on bottom, render layers clipped over the base, and lines on top, it's a standard approach. That floating you see is likely me using the liquify tool to nudge the lines where I want them if I don't get the curve right. I don't use vector layers. I might add a line layer to draw the boobs just so they don't move the rest of the lines when using liquify, but i always merge them together so in the end there is just 1 line layer per character.

Was watching some of the timelapse vids. How do you setup your layers? are the boobs on a different layer than the body when sketching? they seem to float around when you're fine tuning so I am assuming they are vector lines and on their own layer.
