Part 43. The war is over  (3k HQ)

I didn't comment there under the pictures as I did before cause I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere of such an important moment in history, but I wrote some of my own comments in replies, if you're curious, you can scroll there and interact with other readers 💞

The scissors, a hair trimmer, uniform and medic's badge, he was really serious, and being nice with colonel Park was successful to get what he wanted and even captain was powerless to protest.

Some points I want to remind:

• Both Dr. Kim and CPT. Jeon are a few years older than real Tae and JK (because in the story they both have professional experience in the military and medicine - requires time)

• They are serving active duty, not mandatory service. They completed mandatory when they were 18

• Taehyung is a professional surgeon and pharmacist, he was assigned as a medic instructor, means he's only there to teach young medics the field surgery. While combat medics follow the rangers and help them on the battlefield. Jk is a ranger and Tae wanted to be with him. He can't stand the thought of being apart with him once JK leaves on a mission.

I asked my dad and he said that usually doctors (with PhD & MD) are never sent to the battlefield, because they are important to stay at the base, in hospital and perform surgeries, help and teach others etc., it is military nurses are sent to missions for emergency stuff. Both still have to be well trained.

In rare cases some doctors are sent into the battlefield if it's impossible to bring the wounded to the base, usually they are sent with an envoy to protect them, cause yeah, medics are very important staff. Same with high officials, anyone above rank of captain doesn't go the battle, they stay at the base, cause they're the head of the army and army can't risk losing them. If army loses someone important like colonel or general, it means losing the fight with the enemy. Again, in is only in rare cases high ranking officials go into the fight, usually when some dangerous situation happens.

Technical detail here, first time adding non-standard separating bar in the illustration, I just noticed how it gives a 'breaking' effect, like they are really arguing and the air is tense ⚡ (it fades from green to red, pent up anger 🔥)

The badge on Jk's shoulder is the insignia of SWC (Special Warfare Command) of SK. They are also known as ROKA Special Forces "Black Berets", they are the primary counter-terrorist and quick reaction force, the most trusted and the most elite military force.

I chose this branch for JK only because there's a special brigade for overseas deployment group, means they're sent in overseas missions, because yes, spoilers, future parts might happen in other foreign countries 🤫

I just love it when JK calls him Hyung, there's respect but also so much tenderness when he refers to him by honorifics. "I know what you did" Jungkook meant Yoongi's words in his last talk with him that Tae 'could have given up' on his own life and Jungkook is still angry and terrified why he didn't know, because Taehyung never mentioned to him about it, he didn't want to complain, show no weakness, he wanted to be strong for him.

Oh yes, and Tae still thinks Jk is in relationships with some of his fellow officers, but he loves him so much that he is ready to give up everything just to be with him. I can't love like that ugh

he means 'don't you dare to die' 😭 poor captain is triggered by his baby's words 😭😭

According to scenario he was about to kiss him.. and Tae felt that.

This was the hardest scene... to draw, to even think about. Taehyung pushes him away because he doesn't want to be tempted, to taste what he can't have. It's like seeing a glimpse of heaven just to come back to hell. If they touch each other, without fixing their relationship's problem, they'll fall into a 'situationship' again, like before.

I did mention in post for another tier that i took as a reference a scene from MV "Money Game Part 3" by Ren (minute 9:00), Jk's gun scene wasn't a threat to scare, it was like a performance in sense that he's telling a story and his feelings.

Btw, it's glock 19, favorite gun of the world’s most elite forces, initially it was daewoo K5, but glock is looking prettier. He's also wearing it on his belt as an allowed concealed weapon on the base. Just nerding out on the subject 🙌

In the very beginning of the story, like when the story was short like 10 chapters max, the words "my only one" were first written by Taehyung to Jungkook in a letter, but I kept in mind that he was repeating Jungkook's words to him, because throughout the story Jungkook doesn't know if Taehyung has anyone else besides him and he never asked, he's kind of shy. So a bit later the scene with Jungkook confessing to him came to me, so it would explain what happens in the future.

For the first time Taheyung sees his tears... According to initial plot Jungkook didn't cry until the last parts, but I found it strange that he didn't let out a single tear until something horrible happens. Yes, he was struggling a PTSD, but it doesn't mean he can't be emotional. Surely if his trauma was healed he'd act less strained, less angry, less sad and distant. Taehyung is the only person who takes him out of his shell, helps him to reveal his true self.

Do I need to comment on the kissing scenes? Cause I think they speaks for themselves.

Just a note, these are Jk's thoughts, but as I said, Tae can think the same so it doesn't matter. He lifted him up against the wall, I just remembered that Jungkook said in interview that his favorite type of kiss is lifting the lover up and kiss them... it also shows how he elevates his loved one above himself.

Jungkook puts a finger between them to pause the kiss, he didn't want to stop the kiss to let him know he won't leave him, but he wanted to wipe his tears and tell him something important.

Technical details here:

In first scenario Jk says "don't cry" and Tae replies "is that an order" was first before Taehyung pushed him and said "don't touch me" but it didn't make sense, later I moved it after they made peace. I omited some versions of phrases when they argued, like:

JK—Don't forget your rank and position, Kim.

TH—So I'm just 'that' to you, sir?

or:

JK—Stop lying.

TH—Well, fuck me! You want me on my knees? Obeying you?

also:

TH—Don't touch me! Or I will-

JK—Or you what? Slap me? Come on, do it.

Ngl i love it when they bicker but I don't want to to be too intense or childish cause there was no reason to be so dramatic in the first place lol

His hands were wandering and clutching onto him, hungry for his touch, I had many angles and positions in my head but this one is the best so far.

They had a long kiss and a long embrace, maybe I couldn't show it fully but I hope you feel it. It is the end of their war but not the end of their story ❤️🌟

I haven't get an opportunity to read, reply and react to everything yet, cause I'm already occupied with thinking about the next part. However I want to have a couple days off to socialize with the readers and watchers and then start creating the next part ✊💜
