It's really interesting...I'm not necessarily grossed out or squeamish about the kid eating the clotted blood, but I can understand why you cut it. Interesting to hear that the old man got offended when you asked him to do the good luck ritual again for the camera. I know many vloggers often re-create moments that they initially missed filming and I'd always wondered how well that goes over among the locals in other countries. I also get why you cut the parts showing the bedbug and flea bites (and the drone shots at the crater, of course). I think you made the right call, overall. As a writer, I often have to cut scenes, lines of dialogue, and sometimes entire chapters that I personally love because I realize (with a heaviness in my heart) that they either don't serve the story or they bring the pacing to a screeching halt. The version of the video you shared with us is streamlined, beautifully paced, and stunningly shot. The FPV drone footage has been out of this world! It was definitely worth waiting for the mist to clear so you could get those shots! ππ₯
