Today's post is to announce a very, very, soft reboot of the monthly 'zine club, which is just a bit of a rebrand. Instead of being members of the Monthly 'Zine Club, all Patron's now hereby become members of Mike Dawson's Monthly Minicomic Club. Hooray!

"Minicomic" is a word that better describes the self-published booklets I have been mailing to members these past few years. Each issue is usually a self-contained cartoon essay, collection of short cartoons, diary comics, or every now and then, a fully standalone comic-book story. Nothing about the kinds of publications I've been making or their frequency will be changing.

May's Minicomic of the Month: A Part, Apart

May's minicomic of the month is a good one, A Part, Apart collects two standalone essays that serve as a companion to the brand new middle-grade graphic novel I will be publishing next Spring, The Hidden Dominion of Geordie James. Part one is the seven page diary comic that inspired the new book, and part two is a new essay about the phenomenon of pigs turning feral after escaping into the wild, and other fascinating mammal facts.

20 pages, digest sized. Shipping at the very end of the month of May.

How Does It Work?

For only $9 physical members receive a print copy of each minicomic I make, straight to their mailbox once a month. There are no additional shipping charges, and international members are welcome. Physical members will also receive occasional extras, such as stickers, postcards, and exclusive diary comics that are not available elsewhere.

For one-third of the price, a mere $3, digital members will receive a PDF of every minicomic through an exclusive post on this Patreon. The digital copy is distributed once all the physical copies have gone into the mail.

$9 members also receive the digital copy every month. All paid members will receive access to bonus online comics and periodical behind the scenes updates. Soon there will be an option added to buy back-issues of every previously published minicomic for those who want to complete their collection.

Annual Membership Rewards

Patrons who join the print membership at the annual rate will receive four minicomics from my back-catalogue as a thankyou. Digital annual memberships will receive a PDF of the first four issues of my flagship FUN-TIME series.
