I think this was a fun little 'zine, I hope you all agree!

Next month's comic I think will be a special one. It's the one I had originally intended for April, but delayed as I'm still working on some of the material for it. Here's the cover:

As you can see, this is labeled "The Hidden Dominion of Geordie James companion 'zine #1". This refers to the May 2026 middle-grade graphic novel I've been working on, and am about three weeks away from largely completing.

Probably authors always think whatever they're working on is "the best thing they've ever done" (in-between thinking "this is terrible! I'm a fraud!"), but I can state reasonably confidently, this book is the best thing I've ever done. I think it brings together the work I've been doing for years with my diary comics and cartoon essays, and the books I've been making more recently for younger readers.

I will obviously be sharing more over the next twelve months, but this 'zine in particular will include some of the supplemental material I've made to appear inside the book, as well as some of the cartoon essays that inspired the story. I call it "companion 'zine #1" because I think there's plenty here for subsequent comics.

This will be digest-sized, full color, and run between 16 and 20 pages. I'm looking forward to sending it out to you towards the end of May.
