"Why Did They Come?" - at the printer's
Added 2025-03-10 13:41:09 +0000 UTCI sent the files for this month's 'zine out to the printer's this morning. They estimate I'll receive copies back around 3/21, though they have been known to arrive earlier than forecasted.
"Why Did They Come?" is 20 pages, full color, and what's called A6 dimensions (4.1x5.8). I was hoping to figure out a way to make this 'zine more cheaply, as I have ideas about it being a nice one to pass out to people, given its topical nature. I still wonder if I can find a way to make that happen one day, but this edition will not be that. This will be printed on heavier card stock than I typically use, and I think will be a nice showcase for the drawings featured inside, which are very different from the kinds of images I typically produce. You can see in the image above, I'm trying to print the drawings as full-page as I possibly can.
Print copies will mail out to all physical members of the Monthly 'Zine Club as soon as I get them back, with the digital PDF to be distributed after that.

If you ever want inexpensive risograph printing done, please hit me up. If you don't mind doing the folding, stapling, and trimming, I may even be able to print something like this up cheaper than getting it professionally printed (through Kinko's or whatever). Once I have the files set up, there's virtually no cost difference between printing 25 and 2,500!
