*Major GRAPHIC Content Warning* Vegetarian Festival Extended Cut [BTS 37]
Added 2019-04-16 10:58:54 +0000 UTCThis one is super, super, super crazy guys. Like it's hard for even me to watch. It has nothing to do with veggies, despite the name.
When you click on the play button you will instantly see a person with long metal rods piercing and passing through their face. So be warned.
If this video isn't for you, don't worry about it. Just skip it because there will be more videos coming out soon that you will like. I'm putting this video out because I promised months or years ago that I would do it. This is the extended version of a YouTube video I put out years ago from this festival.

Definitely not!! I was just biting em throughout the whole process because it was a tad uncomfortable 🤣

2022-07-12 21:31:12 +0000 UTCHaha your cheeks probably didn't hurt from laughing did they...
2022-07-12 21:24:01 +0000 UTCmaybe its just me but.. i didnt think it was all that bad. I have seen extreme body modifications so maybe I'm desensitized to it, yeah it looked like it hurt but, I don't know. I didn't find it that bad! I also have a lot of piercings so maybe that's also why. my cheeks definitely hurt after watching that though

2022-07-12 20:51:36 +0000 UTCI honestly had no reaction other than "whoa crazy". I mean to think, I'm just sitting here watching it. These people aren't even reacting and they're the ones doing it. I think I'm the lucky one in this scenario. Cheers!
2022-01-24 06:45:15 +0000 UTCWell that was um .... messy. Just why ?
2021-08-09 13:43:06 +0000 UTCHa I am in the bathroom but not puking I'm in the bath loving this catch up
2020-02-03 02:23:30 +0000 UTCThe name sounds so bloodless and innocent! Hahaha
2019-06-20 03:44:51 +0000 UTCThis is so surreal to watch from here! I can't imagine being right in the middle of it!😅 Being a nurse, I have a pretty strong stomach, but this is definitely something else haha...just love how it's called the Vegetarian Festival too!!
2019-06-18 02:17:07 +0000 UTCYeah, it's a mind-boggling concept and an experience I'm glad to have done, but don't need to repeat anytime soon. Hahaha
2019-04-18 20:05:51 +0000 UTCThere are some very interesting and amazing things that people do for their beliefs. It's most interesting to me why so many of these things involve pain and the act of pushing yourself physically as far as you can go. Like why does being in the most physical pain possible bring you closer to your beliefs/gods or a redemption of sins? It's also amazing that these practices can be found in almost all countries and religions/beliefs. I guess it just goes to show how much ones physical self can affect their mental self and spiritual beliefs. This was a difficult video to watch and I did skip past the bit with the large red sculpture pieces; but it really does comment on how intense human beings are. I don't want a standard piercing anywhere on my face and that guy had a big ass sword hanging out of his... mind blowing ! Also your dedication to filming it was pretty awesome!
2019-04-17 04:27:01 +0000 UTCGlad I did! Hard to watch but I’m happy I did. Your Instagram story made me see it and take the challenge. Thank you again, Mike!🐉
2019-04-17 02:54:00 +0000 UTCI challenged myself too. Let’s say I’m 90% right now. Up by 10% after watching it. Forgot to thank you too, for reminding Mike. To think I couldnt even finish the Youtube version before. I’m glad I did this time. It’s not the blood... it’s the needles. 🐉🐉🐉🐉
2019-04-17 02:44:23 +0000 UTCYeah man, I bet! I don't think anyone could see something like that and walk away from it unchanged. 🐉

2019-04-17 02:39:24 +0000 UTCProud of you for making it through!!
2019-04-17 02:37:47 +0000 UTCI don't know if there is a good time to watch this at any point of a day...
2019-04-17 02:35:21 +0000 UTCMajor respect for watching it through Omar!
2019-04-17 02:34:36 +0000 UTCI don't know if I can or want to top this, but this is why we're dragons!
2019-04-17 02:34:18 +0000 UTCI wasn't kidding when I said it was rough. Hahaha. Being there in person definitely toughened me up.
2019-04-17 02:33:35 +0000 UTCAngie, thanks so much for your supportive and kind words. It really means a lot since this content would offend most people. I also appreciate your perspective given your background.
2019-04-17 02:32:29 +0000 UTCFinally... I watched it! Watched it after dinner, finished it and didn’t ‘Phuket’. Why did I believe the hype? 😂 Yes, several times I looked away from the screen and almost turn it off. But I finished it and was expecting the worse (Also because of your over the top disclaimers! Hahaha) It’s too quick and short think. It was interesting, fascinating and insane! Don’t get me wrong, it was shocking, disturbing and bizarre. But I was expecting more. Do they already have holes on their faces? Maybe part of the reason I was able to finish it is because I’m Filipino and I’m used to seeing strange, bloody rituals (specially this Lenten season... but nothing that extreme) And I want to prove to Brandon that I’m a Dragon!🐉 😆 Thanks, Mike for sharing this unknown festival to us. Glad you are crazy enough to go and film it. 🐉
2019-04-16 23:30:19 +0000 UTCMike,,, I have experienced similar traditions, rituals and assisted surgeons for many years in my life with my work but an extreme festival like this is mind blowing. The fact that it's on their faces all the cuts ,, I'm not sure if I could watch that for real like the way you video that closely. Thank you for sharing that to Us,, you always fascinate me and my family and friends and you're always THE BEST BECAUSE YOU ARE UNIQUE,COOL,GENIUS and we learned a lot from you especially fighting our FEARS. Amping always and we keep soaring your 🐉❤️
2019-04-16 22:13:01 +0000 UTCWow, that was more intense than I thought it would be. I definitely felt that knot you mentioned as the video progressed. One of the reasons why the original video fascinated me (while making me cringe) is because I love learning about other people around the world and their beliefs and traditions and rituals, even if I don't fully understand them. As hard as those moments were to watch on video, I can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like for you, being there and seeing it first-hand. Talk about an experience, right? Like you, I believe in growing through being uncomfortable and I feel like I've grown a bit after watching that. Thank you for always challenging and inspiring us with your content! I know I'm better for it. 🐉
