I've been extremely busy with a large freelance project the past few weeks, which is why things have been quiet here. This is a good thing, I am getting paid to write and draw comics, and it's work I'm enjoying and am proud of, but it's made it very difficult to draw diary strips or finish the work of putting together the next 'zine I'm assembling for 'zine subscribers.

I am going to pause all monthly payments for the next few months. I'll reactivate in September, which will also be the month that I send out the newest 'zine. I think it's going to be good, but I don't want to rush it out just to rush it out. The plane image above is related to what this one will be about.

Also, just to mention, in case anybody chooses this moment to cancel their patronage, my newest graphic novel, The Fifth Quarter: Hard Court will be in stores almost exactly one month from today. In this sequel, Lori Block is two years older, still passionate about basketball, and looking to overcome her shortcomings, but now a new town league has started, and Lori's mom is coaching. Lori is separated from her friends, and frustrated that her home life is colliding with her passion. A handful of advance reviews have appeared, Kirkus says it's "Buoyant and breathless, scoring on several levels" and Graphic Novel Resources calls the book, "Simply superb".
