Community Update - April 2025

Greetings all! We're back again for a Monthly Update on what's happening here at Forgotten Adventures. We have a new streamed campaign starting and one that's just returned, not to mention a slew of new release this month in case you missed any of them! So let's dive in!

First we have the return of our streamed campaign, Fears & Fortunes, back with a new cast member. If you haven't seen the show yet, now is a good time to dive in, here's the playlist of the entire show, and here's the link to the premiere of the new season!

One bit of feedback we got about our streams, is that it's on really late for our fans in Europe who want to watch, which is why we're excited for our new campaign, Defenders of Phandelver, starting this Sunday at 3pm GMT/11am ET on twitch.

Defenders of Phandelver is going to be a 3 to 4 season long campaign that goes through the entirety of Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. We believe this is the best way to show off the many maps we've made for Phandelver and Below, from goblin ambushes to eldritch dimensions filled with flesh. Check out the trailer here.

Speaking of Maps, the map team has been very hard at work! They released Phandelver Encounters Pack 7 (possibly the grossest map yet!), and two beautiful slice of life style maps. Apple Orchard is a wholesome place for an adventurer to retire, or a fun place for goblins to attack! Meanwhile, Central Post Office can be a "too real" experience for your players, or a great place to spread chaos!

Lastly, the map team brought us Brig, a massive battleship with four different levels and working cannons and sails! A dream ship for anyone running a pirate campaign or someone looking to add some naval combat to their game.

Elsewhere, the Token Team brought us a slew of new tokens, not to mention melted our minds (and flesh, and bones...) with their Ancient Black Dragon! That's a token that's as big as some of our maps. May the gods save the party that has to fight that.

You may notice we went with the 2024 version of the Ancient Black Dragon, likewise we also released Token Pack 67 which includes several 2024 designs including: new Cambions, Cloud Giants, Revenants and the wicked Arch Hag. Not to mention Spirit Token pack 21, filled with noble spirits to haunt your players.

Working closely with the Token Team was our Dev Team who brought us the Token Maker Alpha this month! Soon making custom, hand-drawn style tokens, will be something anyone can do! Currently the Alpha is exclusive to our Explorer Tier, so check it out if you haven't already! And please make sure you let us know about any bugs you find! We have a long way to go before we release, and many bugs to find before then!

Finally, the Assets Team underwent a major overhaul on how they structure our massive library of assets (go here if you want to know more about that restructure) and then added a slew of winter assets to that library. Yes, finally we have an update and much awaited expansion to our winter assets!

Asset Content Updates from April have been rolled into !Core and Expansion packs available here.
