Heyo everyone, I hope you are all doing well and staying safe in these trying times!
First of all, it's been an amazing ride since I started producing content in February 2018, It all started a bit earlier, roughly at the end of ~2016 when I discovered D&D/Tabletop RPGs.
I was making my maps with whatever I could find on the internet, but I didn't really like anything that was available and affordable...
At the time, I worked 12 hour shifts 5 days a week at family restaurant for ~2,50€/hour, so I couldn't really afford to spend money on digital assets for my games, and I realized that I'm probably not alone in this boat...
So I thought that maybe I could fix that issue and provide people with high quality assets that would be available for everyone.
That's where all of you wonderful people come in, I cant thank you guys enough for all the support you've shown me over the years. All of You literally changed my life and I'll be forever grateful for your generosity and support, so again a giant THANK YOU!
In just couple of months on September 2018, thanks to your support, I was able to leave my day job and focus just on creating new content. At around the same time, I stumbled upon Grace on our Discord and we realized our drawing styles matched up really well - so I offered her a partnership. She's focusing mainly on Humanoid Tokens, but she's amazingly talented and has been a wonderful addition to FA since she agreed to join back at the end of 2018.
I still think bringing her into the fold was one of the best decisions I've made since I've started FA ^_^ It also made me realize that I wanted to expand and grow FA into something more so we can bring you even more amazing content.
Roughly a half a year after that, I've decided to offer a friend of mine, Khazrym, a position as well, FA was growing and workload was growing with it, I've realized that I could really use some help with all the extra workload, mainly tasks that were taking the valuable time from me that I could instead spend on making new content, such as social media, marketing, but also content production which doesn't really require "drawing" per se - making tiles or exporting asset variants and also other general "busy work".
So if you didn't already know, this is our current "FA Team":
Grace
Khazrym
Stryxin
We all share the same "Tenets and Ideals" for the content we produce and for the company as a whole.
It is our goal to produce high quality, versatile, and inclusive assets that are accessible to GMs and players for use in TTRPGs. We also highly value our community and seek to keep them involved with the content that we produce.
If you read all that, thank you :D We have a lot of new people in the community and I just wanted to let you guys know who we are and what we are about if you didn't know it already ^_^
All that being said, ever since I brought Grace into FA, we had plans about expanding FA into various directions, hopefully making it something even greater in the future.
We have tons of projects and ideas in our "back pocket" that we would love to do eventually, some of which are very expansive, ambitious and exciting.
They all need a lot of work and mainly time however - which we don't really have any spare left when producing all the current content for FA.
Which finally brings us to the point of this post :D
Thanks to all your support we are finally at a point where we can bring more people into our Team, hopefully allowing us to create even more content for all of you and also dedicate some time to some other projects that might need a bit more development "in the background" before being released.
Part of this process was creating the "Styleguide" which was released yesterday, I realize that it wasn't really content that most of you guys will be able to or even want to utilize, but it was a necessary step that allows us to hopefully expand our team and bring you more awesome content in the long run :) As, hopefully, it's going to be helpful for people applying for the position.
So for the actual Hiring info:
We are looking for a freelance artist to join our team, so that we can produce even more amazing content!
We have a large body of existing work, and it is very important to us that all of our content looks cohesive. As such we are looking for an artist who can mimic the existing Forgotten Adventures art style.
Please check out the aforementioned Styleguide to see how our Assets are created Step-by-Step.
We are looking for an artist who meets the following criteria:
Forgotten Adventures is a Patreon business. The non-salaried position pays ~12% of total monthly Patreon earnings. Patreon earnings are based on monthly pledges from our Patreon Supporters, therefore pay varies.
Currently you could expect an approximate income around ~$900 per month.
Because FA is set up as a company in Slovakia, this means we cant really “employ” people from other countries. You would have to be a freelancer on paper and we would “hire” you each month – you will have to be able to send us invoices.
Please only apply if you understand and agree to be compensated in this way.
If you are interesting in applying for this position please fill out the Application Form at https://forgotten-adventures.net/hiring
Or send us an email at jobs@forgotten-adventures.net
Add a brief description of who you are and attach or link examples of your art mimicking FA Artstyle.
If you have a resume and/or portfolio you would like to send us, feel free to include that too.
Like I mentioned above, we have a lot of projects and ideas for future of FA - while still keeping everything in the TabletopRPG "realm" - a lot of these projects require other skills, for example Writing, Video Editing, Coding, Battlemap Design etc.
Even though our main focus is Digital Art and we are mainly producing Digital Art content at the moment, all 3 of us are essentially "wearing multiple hats" and dabble in various other tasks beside our main focus.
As some examples, Grace often helps with writing, fixing my horrible English and also helps with overall planning of projects etc. , I'm learning video editing for tutorials at the moment and I've built our whole website last year without any prior knowledge, I'm also dabbling in 3d modeling ... :D
So If you have other interests in something beside drawing that you think could be utilized, even if you don't have much experience in those fields, it might be worth mentioning :) Just so we can get a better picture of what you are bringing to the table! ^_^
We know we have some amazing people in the community and we hope that some of you will give this a chance ! We are looking forward to seeing your work, and hopefully working with You in the future!
Again, to apply, easiest way is to fill out the form at

Cheers!
