I've collected all the useful tips for installing mods in the game to make it easier for you to navigate. Don't worry, it's not as difficult as it may seem! Just follow the instructions, and everything will work out!
Download the mod with the .package extension
Move it to the Mods folder located at Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.
Launch the game.
Make sure the mod is compatible with your game version. (Launch Sims 4. On the main screen, you will see a text line with the game version information in the bottom. The version will look like a series of numbers and letters, for example, "1.82.99.1030.")
Check the mod installation. For example, if the mod is in "zip" format, it needs to be extracted using an archive program. Make sure the Mods folder contains files in the .package format.
In the game settings, under the “Other” section, make sure the options "Script Mods Allowed" and "Enable Custom Content and Mods" are enabled.
Make sure to check which packs are required for this mod to work (I usually specify this in the post). Without the necessary pack or expansion, the mod won't work!
Check your mods for conflicts (for example, using the ModConflictDetector program).
Try leaving only the necessary mod in the Mods folder and launching the game with just this mod. Sometimes another mod can block the one you need, even if no conflict is shown.
Clear the game cache.
If none of the suggested steps work, you can try reinstalling the game. Reinstalling might help if the issue is caused by corrupted game files. However, this does not guarantee that the mod will work!
If you've tried all the suggested steps and nothing worked, the issue might be related to the unique configuration of your game or computer. If you manage to find a solution, please share it in the comments — it might help other players! Thank you for your understanding and support!
