2025-07-27 18:00:32 +0000 UTCNot really speeding. The season starts off with two short manga arcs, albeit reversed in order. S2 started right where S1 left off, The beginning of Vol 6 of 15 (ch40). They have only cut some detail panels that are more than made up for by others they have expanded on and introducing a character who had been cut from S1. As of this ep. we are at the end of ch53. Most of the manga readers agree the most likely end of S2 will be ch87. looking at the pacing of the first 4 eps I am now inclined to agree. That would be 7 ch. more than covered in S1 so that would require some major edits. My personal theory is they are going to lift a sub-arc from the final arc of the season. This sub-arc deals with Marin's character development and has no impact on the Marin-Gojo relationship and chronologically can be moved to a later point in the story. Combined with an epilogue chapter just released and a promised side story yet to come, there should be more than enough material for a third season .
