Oh yeah lol, I'm right there with ya - that last part was infuriating. Well said, how about the parents take responsibility for raising their kids instead of blaming others.... So my very rough understanding is that Japanese high schools have a lot more control over their students, even outside of school grounds. Like you might hear in some anime where students are limited in part time jobs and working hours by their school. I think it's kind of like while they are a student there, they are seen as representing that school, so the school gets a say in their outside lives. I don't know the full extent of it, but sounds rather overbearing.
