Damn, hard to believe it's over, but that ended up being the conclusion this great series needed. Was a pleasure to go on this journey with you and your reactions. That's awesome how well received your reactions were, when all the pieces come together like this, it really does create on hell of an experience. I think this one is strongly in my top 10 anime of all time and will be hard to beat for AOTY. If something surpasses it later this year, we are in for a treat indeed!

2025-03-18 02:36:27 +0000 UTCyeah it was a bit of an odd decision but when you stop and think about it it makes a lot of sense that he is not ACTUALLY Rafal, but instead Rafal has manifested for the viewer on a random man showcasing what Rafal's ideals and ideology in pursuit of the truth would appear as pushed to its very far extremes. I talk about this a lot more in depth in the actual reaction itself

Its him. Badeni, Oczy, Rafal, Draka, Nowak, Jolenta, everyone is actually truly dead

So maybe you are the only one who gave in depth analysis to the content. One of the main reason I am a patreon of you. The casual reaction like to 100 Girlfriends is nice but such kind of reaction is what I am searching for.

2025-03-16 10:04:37 +0000 UTCSo these 2 episodes really were needed for me to get around this show. I already stated that this was hard until the last 2 episodes. But this ending gave me the needed conclusion. I think this Rafale would have been the one who had chosen to accept the offer of the church instead of killing himself. The same with the priest who is Badeni which chose to flee and let Ozcy fight alone. I already thought Rafale killing himself just to proof a point was extreme but it makes sense to kill someone if you are ready to kill yourself just for the sake of the thing you believe. I am really allergic to deaths in stories as they never proof anything and most of the time they don't help the cause. Especially if you believing in something only for yourself. Rafal wanting to proof he is right, Badeni to get famous, Draka to get rich. They never thought about what would be the goal to gain this knowledge. So yeah now I agree its a great show and it will be difficult to beat this as anime of the year. I still think Frieren did a better job with showing not telling. But yeah really great show. And yeah the OST is bonkers.

2025-03-16 09:54:22 +0000 UTCwhat you thought you had already heard is what literally appears at the beginning of the anime in episode 1 haha with the same voice and everything. how they connect everything is great. far and away the best anime of the season and we'll see if anything can beat it, but I doubt it.
