Heroes to Housewives: Green Lantern
Added 2025-05-14 23:51:27 +0000 UTCI apologize this is another post with delayed shading, I'm hoping we can catch up on all the delayed shading stuff by next weekend. After this goes up I'll go right into the post that was scheduled for today, hopefully have it up by 10pm at the latest.
This was probably one of the 3 hardest for me in the set to write. Truth is I know almost nothing about Green Lantern other than there's a lot of them and there's like a color wheel of other lanterns (and one of them is like a zombie guy)
In truth I hadn't even heard of the villain referenced in the original caption and well... I would recommend maybe not looking him up he's a bit of a vibe-killer tbh. Given his appearance and lore he isn't actually depicted in the original caption, or in this adaptation which is probably for the best. That said it means I don't really have a character to bounce Hal's lines off of so I had to get creative with the execution. And even then the ending had to have some narration to fill in the blanks.
I like the idea of making your own transformation unwittingly. I also really like the effect I created on the lingerie, I think it really makes it look like a Lantern construct.
Next month's episode will also be Green.

Love seeing it! And yeah, Hector Hammond's powers are a perfect fit for something like this but he's not exactly lovely to look at lol. I remember that being a comment for the original caption commission as well back then. Looking forward to the shaded version too!
