That really does feel the shoujo equivalent of dangers in my heart. Where in dangers, you have a common wish fulfilment archetype for boys (nerdy boy who gets brought out of his shell by popular, beautiful girl) in here you get the girl wish fulfilment (bad boy with a heart of gold jumping in to defend you, but with that mysterious part that makes him sexy). But in both cases, it's done with so much heart and love for these characters that it doesn't feel like that. I can't wait to meet more of these characters.
