2024-10-15 01:22:39 +0000 UTCSorry I'm a bit of a yapper when it comes to Re:Zero. I'm forcing myself to be anime only, at least until the end of this season. If you rewatch the Emilia vs Sirius figure you can see Emilia constantly changing weapons. Also, I agree with you about Sirius = Fortuna. However, there is one thing I find really interesting. If you remember s2, Fortuna had a very loving temperament. Even in times that she had to discipline Emilia for doing something wrong, she never showed a single bit of "wrath" at all. Now, if Sirius is Fortuna, isn't it almost like you got all of Fortuna's values and you just flipped them. Like Emilia was the most loved and now she is despised by Sirius. I'd be curious on her temperament towards Regulus next episode. Last thing I'll bring up is the names. As you probably know, alot of characters have 'star' names. For example, Petelgeuse is a star found on the arm of the Orion constellation or Lye Batenkaitos (Gluttony) is named after a star called Baten Kaitos which is known as the "sea monsters belly" and found in the constellation known as Cetus (Greek sea monster)(also find it interesting that he rises from the water in the ed). Anyway, all of the Archbishops are named after a star. If you want i can go through everyone but I'll not do that here. Anyway - Sirius is also named after a star. Now here's the weird part. The others all make alot of sense on the surface but the star called Sirius is in the Canus Major constellation which is a dog. It is right next to the Orion constellation (Petelgeuse) which is facing off against the Pleiades, otherwise known locally in Japan as the constellation "Subaru". Now the background behind the cultural beliefs of the star Sirius is named after are manly Egyptian which I think is cool as she is basically a mummy. The star is essentially associated with the Egyptian god Osiris which is the god of death. I could go on forever about this so I will stop myself here. Sorry for the long message. Amazing reaction !!

2024-10-14 18:15:16 +0000 UTCI have another crackpot theory about Sirius that might me darker: What if she's not Fortuna, but rather physically altered (by some sort of horrifyingly gruesome means, judging by the bandages all over her. Maybe it's even more horrific and she's wearing Fortuna's skin.), to look like Fortuna? Maybe she was someone obsessed with Petelgeuse, and because he only showed affections for Fortuna, she chose to become like that? Maybe she was manipulated into such affections by Pandora, and kept as some sort of carrot/mental stabilizer to control Petelgeuse?
