Question Time

First and foremost,

THANK YOU for your continued support.

You guys have really helped me out over the last year or so. Covid has hit a lot of us REALLY hard.

I had to step down to a part time role at work due to my health. So I’ve been really relying on YouTube and PATREON to supplement my income.

I work hard at it. And I like to think that it shows.

But is it time for a shake up?

***This is where your input will be required***

Do you like the current format of one episode per series a day?

Or would you prefer to see less series, but more episodes?

I’ve already started doubling up One Piece and Hunter x Hunter twice a week.

Currently I have 2 series per tier.

$15 - Parasyte and Violet

$10 Castlevania and HxH

$5 MHA and One Piece (plus RvB and random stuff I wanna share)

So obviously I’d have to cut it down to one series per tier, but double up the release times.

What do you think?

Tell me what you’d like.

Change it OR stay the same?

To be fair I’ve been at this pretty consistently for a few years. Maybe a slower pace would be better.

But once again, your feedback will determine what you see here.

Also looking to have more exclusives as well. Stuff that won’t be on YouTube for ages if at all.

Just starting the conversation and getting some feedback/ideas from you all.

Once again,

Thank you.

You’re all amazing.

That kind of answers the question. There is enough variety for everyone currently. Reducing the series runs the risk of cutting someone’s favourite show.

Less series and more episodes is probably more engaging for binge watchers like myself. Also, I think it might be nice to shake things up and try out a new format, which could also backfire as I am currently only watching parasyte from the shows you are posting.

Cool. Thank you. I like having at least one long running series on the go, coz quite frankly, I wanna see everything. lol. Seriously considering Black Clover after MHA. Bur shorter series is definitely on the agenda. 12 - 24 eps are easier to digest. As for One Piece. Loving the journey so far. Will continue on as is.

Just random anime titles in no order: Baccano!, Fooly Cooly, Space Dandy, Devilman Crybaby, Megalobox, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Samurai Champloo, Hellsing Ultimate

To answer your questions: I think focusing on shorter series than HxH or One Piece might be best for you in the future. There are hundreds with some kind of following to choose from and I think focusing on series rather than episodes is better in the long run. Also don't be afraid to go at your own pace. I'll name some titles with at least a cult following in the reply to this. You're perfect with MHA, no comment! And having Parasyte as $15 tier is really enticing. For Hunter x Hunter light spoilers- the early arcs are important and good but I think some are waiting for a certain section that's controversial. Also I think some people may enjoy watching you react to short key moments in the yorknew arc with the 1999 anime because it hits different. Or maybe reacting to a youtube video that shows them side by side and share your thoughts. One Piece is a really tricky beast because it follows a unique model. If it was Naruto or Bleach people will just tell you to just "skip the filler" but One Piece really doesn't do that. I don't know what to say and I don't know if more is better because at any pace you go I feel it'll be the same. For your Youtube channel it may benefit to have a cut down version of high impact moments especially starting when the animation style modernizes (you'll know). I know it's more editing and it's not your style.. Tricky

Thank you. I’m starting to feel that way myself. I like watching different shows.

My two cents, I think you've done well with your pace. It will always feel insufficient for the absolutely huge shows like one piece. The one piece fandom is generally addicted to fast pacing, like 6-12 episodes a week from the behemoth reactors w/ editors. This isn't feasible with your current format but if you wanted to cater to the one piece viewers that seems to be the winning formula. Personally I'm here for hxh, subbed for berserk in the past. While I dont mind the slow pace for OP I am guilty of cherry picking specific episodes. I think the shorter shows work pretty well in your format (mob psycho, see the studio trigger shows if you havent). Overall I think a variety of shows will cast a broader net and be of more value.

Thank you Jack. I like to hear your thoughts.

Speaking for myself, I'm selfishly a big fan of the two series per tier because I am a huge fan of HxH and Castlevania. Plus I feel like it probably helps maximize your reach to have more shows on the go in order to attract viewers from a variety of fan bases. That being said, I understand if you feel you'd enjoy the shows more if you narrow the scope and binge a few at a time. Either way, love the reactions and appreciate your hard work

Jack
