In a way, you're kinda right about Beatrice turning out to be "that person". Having Subaru be "that person" would still be adhering to the gospel and the toxic dependence on Echidna. The choice has always been hers to leave, and by choosing Subaru now, in the way that he's ensuring she does, the only person in control of her life is her now. She's taking back control, and making herself "that person", in a way. It's a really interesting way you put it. And also, I totally called Believe in You being used as an insert track over the rocket scene.
2021-08-14 06:27:19 +0000 UTCThe point of Subaru saying he wasn't that person for Beatrice. Rather, he wanted Beatrice to choose for herself instead of remaining bound to the words Echidna told her. The whole second season has been great and I'm glad that have enjoyed it so much! Looking forward to next week's reaction!
