Yeah, the anime censored the scene where Zeff eats his own leg. Also the scene where luffy got his scar (chapter 1 in the manga) but it gets animated way way later in a recap episode also in the recap movie.

2021-07-21 20:30:50 +0000 UTCYou're not really remembering it wrong, that was actually a change the anime made for TV, in the manga Zeff does infact remove is leg while on the island using a rock. He doesn't feed it to Sanji though, he eats it himself.
