Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) FULL WATCH ALONG w/ Mia

This movie is set three years after the previous one with the war raging all the time. If you want to learn about some of the events in between episodes 2 and 3, check out The Clone Wars animated series. General Grevious is a cyborg but he was originally from a near-human species called the Kaleesh. George Lucas intended him to be a precursor to Vader. In the Legends continuity, Grevious was in a shuttle accident that was ordered by Dooku and Sidious, and he was reconstructed as a cyborg. The origin of his cough is an interesting story. In Legends, shortly before the events of the movie during the kidnapping of the Chancellor he met up and fought with Mace Windu which ended with him using the force to crush his chest and caused the cough. In Canon, Grevious chose to undergoing the procedure to make him a cyborg and the cough is a side effect of the procedure . Here is a little knowledge Order 66 was a contingency order, that the Sith who manipulated the whole war, implanted into the Clone Army. It was the inhibitor chip that was mentioned in passing in Episode 2, it takes away all of the clones autonomy and forces them to kill their Jedi Generals who are their friends. This is explained in more detail in the Clone Wars season 6 and The Bad Batch. Leia’s memories of her mother were a combination of the Force and stories about her told to her by adoptive parents I have heard a theory and I believe it that Leia was actually remembering Sabé not Padme. Sabè ( she was Padmé decoy back in Episode I) who worked as a tutor to the young Leia. It is really hard to see but Anakin is crying right before Padme leaves to go to Anakin. There was supposed to be a few scene that were deleted that basically set up the Rebel Alliance with Padmé, Mon Mothma, and Bail Organa sowing the seeds for it. The reason for Padmé death has been hotly debated for years. The reasons run the gamut from Broken Heart Syndrome( which is a real thing) to Sidious basically draining her life force to resurrect Vader. The final duel between Kenobi and Anakin is probably one of the best duels of the franchise and the two actors are extremely talented and athletic. The in-universe origins of the nickname Ben has an interesting story behind it. Back in Obi-wan's younger days, he was order to protect a women named Satine Kryze who's recently became the leader of the Mandalorians and they spent significant time together and became extremely “close” and Ben was her nickname for him. He would use it as a code name during the Clone Wars too.
