2025-06-04 16:06:02 +0000 UTCI know everyone's gonna scream Rocky! because it's the tippy top of sports movies, not just boxing. but I'm going to suggest Million Dollar Baby and Southpaw for my favourite boxing movie that's not in the Rocky franchise because the Creed movies are equally good.

2025-06-04 01:33:27 +0000 UTCThanks so much for watching this! This is one of my absolute favorite movies ever. The emotions, the acting, the dialogue! It’s amazing. Nick Nolte was nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actor for his performance but did not win. This movie was largely forgotten and not recognized in its time. A lot of people who are involved in MMA and UFC do not like this movie much because it’s not a good representation of the format of MMA and a tournament like this would never happen. For me, I let that slide because that’s not really what it’s about at all. That’s a backdrop to the story of a family that is learning to heal. One of my absolute favorite details is that Tommy never tapped until Brendan said the words “I love you”. Behind all of the anger, hurt, and violence was a child from a broken home who just needed to hear those words from his older brother. Thanks so much for this reaction, I’m so glad you liked it.
