It was a running joke during the Gamestop stock drama on reddit that Spice and Wolf had already taught the internet what short selling stocks meant. So Lawrence's deal with Amanti made even more sense seeing it in real life The whole town is trading a limited amount of Pyrite and no one wants to miss out on it "going to the moon" lol.
