Thank you

Hey guys, just wanted to drop a quick note - as someone who is part of a lot of Reaction Patreons, I know that engagement is just as important as the Full Watch Alongs and Polls. I wanted to give you a little insight into our operation, and some clarity so you can know what to expect. My name is Jason Dolan, and I'm the creator of Popcorn Roulette. I also created Kazzy Reacts during the pandemic. And I helped my frequent collaborator Shawn Christensen create Criminal Content. Diego, the other guy pictured (far left), is my partner, and he does a lot of the business stuff, while I do all of the production. I actually shoot all the reactions and edit all the the Full Watch Alongs for both channels, and we have some great help with a company in India to help us put out 3-5 reactions a week on Youtube between both channels. It's a lot of work for me, but I love reactions, and I love the people we have reacting for us, and because of YOUR support, we've been able to put out the amount of reactions that we've created. There are so many requests and we certainly are doing our best to get reactions to the best movies, and multiple reactions whenever possible to the movies that we adore the most, and share so many core memories of first seeing some of these films, like STAR WARS, ALIEN, PREDATOR, THE THING, and on and on. I don't want to get too long winded, but as the channels continue to grow, soon we will be doing a LOT more polls, getting more feedback from you. And of course, with Criminal Content having its own Patreon, we encourage you to churn back and forth between both channels, if you can't afford to support both simultaneously. We plan to always have new reactions whenever you're back. Criminal Content is focused on crime, obviously, as well as crime adjacent things, such as spy thrillers and is going to be doing some war films, too. Popcorn Roulette is tackling the genres like sci-fi, horror, comedy, drama, fantasy, animation, and so on and so forth. It has been exciting to grow to over 30,000 subscribers in our first year+ in operation on YouTube, but we are extra grateful for those of you who support us, and our reactors here. We have some real special things coming soon. If you have questions, drop them below, and I'll do my best to answer them. I try to keep our reactor's schedules updated on the pinned Schedule comment. Obviously, sometimes things change, but we want to know what you want to see from us, too. So thank you, thank you, thank you.

This perhaps might be an odd ball question, but I do have a question about how videos are uploaded to Patreon the way they are. Is there a reason videos are uploaded as YouTube videos on Patreon? I ask because there is one Patreon reaction channel I subscribe to that does not upload them as YouTube videos and instead there is the option to do picture in picture viewing. This makes it in my opinion nicer and cleaner to watch full length reaction videos. As the videos are uploaded now, I have to resize the YouTube window and lay it over the window playing the movie. Because of things like url bar and other browser elements, the window with the reaction is highly obstructed. My assumption for why the uploads are the way they are, being YouTube uploads, is for YouTube viewership numbers/monetization. For that I would totally understand the upload type choice, but it's just unfortunate there cannot be a cleaner reaction viewing.

Great work and great team, congratulations!

Thanks for the little insight. The only thing I could suggest at the time is more Classic Films. If you find that any of your Reactors have seen too many newer films, then some Classic Films going as far back to the 30s & 40s could fill some spots. There’s a whole other lifetime’s worth of Great Films going back to then. Thanks again.
