We are traveling south from Cairo to Assiut Egypt to visit the Saad Zaghloul Art Museum. We wanted to see more of Egypt, so we rented a car and are on our way.

We are going to stay at the Partner Tut Hotel which overlooks the Nile. There is an airport In Assiut we can use to get to our next destination; we’re still planning on a trip to Cape Town, then we’ll trek northward.
Clearly, we are not on the highway. Since we are not trying to rush, we turned off to get a look at the natural setting. As you get away from the Nile, the land becomes very barren. Yet, there is a beauty in the desert landscape that warrants taking time to appreciate.
We’ll look around here a little longer, then get back on the road. The immediate plan is to get to the hotel, check in, clean up then head for the museum.

Saad Zaghloul Museum
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a bit about our visit to the Saad Zaghloul Art Museum in Assiut.
This place is a hidden gem for anyone interested in Egyptian art and history. The museum is named after Saad Zaghloul, an important figure in Egypt's history, and it houses a fascinating collection of contemporary and classical art pieces.
Walking through the museum, you'll find a mix of sculptures, paintings, and artifacts that offer a glimpse into Egypt's rich cultural heritage. The setting itself is quite serene, making it a perfect spot to spend a few hours soaking in the art and the stories behind them. One of the highlights for me was seeing how the museum captures both the traditional and modern aspects of Egyptian artistry.
Again, for the advice you didn’t ask for— If you're ever in Assiut, I definitely recommend giving this museum a visit!

I have already dressed for bed. Or to be more accurate, I have undressed for bed.
We are at the Partner Tut Hotel and my room overlooks the Nile. It’s quite an impressive view.
The visit to the museum today was great. And to be honest, the drive was great, too. We were able to just talk from topic to topic as the mood dictated, which allowed us to get to know each other a bit better.
So, all in all, a great day.
